- Disconnect the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) switch
connector and the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) control solenoid
connector.
- Connect a DMM between the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI)
switch connector terminal B and ground.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure for voltage at the brake transmission shift interlock
(BTSI) switch connector terminal B.
Is the voltage within the specified values?
| 10.0-14.0V

- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Reconnect the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) switch
connector.
- Connect a DMM between the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI)
control solenoid connector terminal C and ground.
- Depress the brake pedal.
- Measure for voltage at the BTSI control solenoid connector terminal
C with the brake pedal depressed.
Is the voltage within the specified values?
