Cylinder Head Removal for GMC Truck Yukon XL - 2WD 2000

Cylinder Head Removal Left Side


    Object Number: 260146 Size: SH

    Important: The cylinder head bolts are NOT reusable. Install NEW cylinder head bolts during assembly.

  1. Remove the spark plugs from the cylinder head.
  2. Remove the cylinder head bolts.

    3. Notice: After removal, place the cylinder head on 2 wood blocks in order to prevent damage to the sealing surfaces.

  3. Remove the cylinder head.

    4. Object Number: 63169 Size: SH
  4. Remove the gasket.
  5. Discard the gasket.
  6. Discard the cylinder head bolts.

Cylinder Head Removal Right Side


    Object Number: 260149 Size: SH

    Important: The cylinder head bolts are NOT reusable. Install NEW cylinder head bolts during assembly.

  1. Remove the spark plugs from the cylinder head.
  2. Remove the cylinder head bolts.

    3. Notice: After removal, place the cylinder head on 2 wood blocks in order to prevent damage to the sealing surfaces.

  3. Remove the cylinder head.

    4. Object Number: 63170 Size: SH
  4. Remove the gasket.
  5. Discard the gasket.
  6. Discard the cylinder head bolts.
