Power Seat Switch Replacement for GMC Truck Yukon XL - 2WD 2000
Removal Procedure
- Remove the lumbar knob, if equipped. Refer to
Lumbar Support Knob Replacement
.
- Remove the power seat
switch bezel from the seat. Refer to
Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector(s).
- Remove the power seat switch to bezel screws.
- Remove the power seat switch.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the power seat
switch to bezel screws.
Tighten
Tighten the bezel screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector(s).
- Install the power seat switch bezel to the seat. Refer to
Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement
.
- Install the lumbar knob, if equipped. Refer to
Lumbar Support Knob Replacement
