Circuit/System Description
The driver information center (DIC) monitors the DIC switch signals to determine the switch inputs. The switch inputs to the DIC is low when a switch is activated. The DIC switch is a momentary contact switch that connects a series of resistors in a resistor ladder format. Each switch state - GAGES, TRIP ODOMETER, SET/RESET, INFO, FUEL, OPTIONS - corresponds to a certain resistance value.

Ignition ON, verify that all scan tool DIC Switch parameters toggle between Active and Inactive while pressing and releasing the switches.
