Removal Procedure
- Remove the air inlet housing front panel (2). Refer to Air Inlet Housing Front Panel Replacement .
- Remove the vent hose from the retainer (6) located on the rear of the right cylinder head.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the vent hose from the retainers (1,2) located on the transmission mount assembly.
- Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
- Remove the transmission mount assembly. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement .
- Cut the tie straps (3,4) that secure the vent hose to the transmission wiring harness.
- Lower the transmission and remove the vent hose from the vent tube (5).
- Remove the vent hose assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the vent hose assembly to the vehicle.
- Connect the vent hose to the vent tube (5).
- Raise the transmission to the installed position.
- Install new tie straps (3,4) to secure the vent hose to the transmission wiring harness. Do not collapse the vent hose while tightening the tie straps.
- Install the transmission mount assembly. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement .
- Remove the jack.
- Install the vent hose to the retainers (1,2) located on the mount assembly.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the vent hose to the retainer (6) located on the rear of the right cylinder head.
- Install the air inlet housing front panel (2). Refer to Air Inlet Housing Front Panel Replacement .
