Warning: If the vehicle interior is exposed to moisture and becomes soaked up to the level of the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM), the SDM and SDM harness connector must be replaced. The SDM could be activated when powered, which could cause airbag deployment and result in personal injury.

Some interior components may need to be removed to repair the leakage, according to water leakage position.

1. If the carpet is soaked, refer to Floor Carpet Drying.
2. Cut off part of the adhesive agent from inside or outside the vehicle in the leakage area.
3. Clean and remove all loose particles of the old adhesives from the area.
4. Apply body and seam sealant to where the old adhesive caulking was removed.
5. Allow the seam adhesives to dry for several hours.
6. Test for leakage.
7. Install the trim (if removed).
