Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement L18
Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system.

Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Loosen the inlet hose clamp (2) at the coolant crossover.
- Remove the inlet hose (1) from the coolant crossover.
- Remove the inlet hose
clip bolt at the hose support.
- Remove the inlet hose
clip bolt at the hose support.
- Loosen the inlet hose
clamp (1) at the radiator.
- Remove the inlet hose (4) from the radiator.
Installation Procedure
- Install the inlet hose
(4) to the radiator.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the inlet hose clamp (1) at the radiator.
Tighten
Tighten the inlet hose clamp to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the inlet hose
clip bolt at the hose support.
Tighten
Tighten the clip bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the inlet hose
clip bolt at the hose support.
Tighten
Tighten the clip bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the inlet hose
(1) to the coolant crossover.
- Tighten the inlet hose clamp (2) at the coolant crossover.
Tighten
Tighten the inlet hose clamp to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement LG5
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
in
Body Front End.
- Drain the coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose support clamp from the radiator fan shroud.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose (3) and the clamp (2)
from the radiator (1).
- Remove the radiator inlet hose and the clamp from the coolant outlet.
Installation Procedure
- Install the radiator inlet hose and the clamp to the coolant outlet.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or

- Install the radiator inlet hose (3) and the clamp (2) to the radiator (1).
Tighten
Tighten the clamps to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the radiator inlet support hose clamp to the radiator fan shroud.
- Install the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to
Wheelhouse Panel Replacement
in
Body Front End.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Inspect the system for leaks.
