Heater Outlet Hose Replacement L18

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.

  3. Object Number: 688153  Size: SH
  4. Remove the hose clamps (1).
  5. Disconnect the outlet hose from the heater core.
  6. Disconnect the outlet hose from the radiator.
  7. Remove the outlet hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the outlet hose.
  2. Connect the outlet hose to the radiator.
  3. Connect the outlet hose to heater core.

  4. Object Number: 688153  Size: SH
  5. Connect the hose clamps (1).
  6. Add the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  7. Install the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

  2. Object Number: 220071  Size: SH
  3. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  4. Remove the air inlet duct.
  5. Disconnect the hose clamps.
  6. Remove the heater hose clip bolt, the washer, and the nut.
  7. Remove the heater hose clip.

  9. Disconnect the outlet hose from the heater core.
  10. Disconnect the outlet hose from the radiator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 220067  Size: SH
  1. Connect the outlet hose to the radiator.
  2. Connect the outlet hose to the heater core.

  3. Object Number: 220071  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Connect the heater hose clip bolt, the washer, and the nut.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the heater hose clip nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  6. Connect the hose clamps.
  7. Add the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  8. Install the air inlet duct.
  9. Install the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
