Removal Procedure
  1. Lower the window.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 208736 Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws holding the assembly to the door.
  5. Remove the lower run channel bolt.
  6. Loosen the upper run channel bolt.
  7. Remove the inner mounting panel and glass assembly. Refer to Door Mounting Panel Replacement - Inner .

    8. Object Number: 208720 Size: SH
  8. Remove the two bolts (7) from the door handle.
  9. Remove the door handle. Refer to Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  10. Remove the pressure relief valve from the edge of the door.

    11. Object Number: 208741 Size: SH
  11. Remove the three lock assembly to the door bolts (1).
  12. Remove the lock rods from the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 208731 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the lock (5) and lock rods (4) into the door and attach with 3 bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the lock assembly to door bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  2. Install the pressure relief valve to the edge of the door.

  3. Install the outside door handle (1) to the door with 2 bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  4. Install the inner mounting panel and glass assembly. Refer to Door Mounting Panel Replacement - Inner .
  5. Attach the lock rods to the back of the inner mounting panel.
  6. Install the lower run channel bolt, and tighten the top run channel bolt.
  7. Install the inner mounting panel assembly to the door with screws.
  8. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  9. Install the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
