Tools Required

1. Remove the inside handle bezel.
2. Remove the armrest screws.
3. Remove the armrest.
4. Remove the plastic clip



5. Remove the regulator handle (1) and the retainer (2).

Use the J 9886-01  (3) if equipped.




6. Remove the trim panel.
7. Use the J 38778 in order to remove the retainers from the inner door panel.

1. Install the retainers to the trim panel if any remained in the door.
2. Replace any broken retainers.
3. Install the trim panel to the door.
4. Put the trim panel in place and push the retainers into the door.



5. Install the regulator handle, if equipped.
6. Install the plastic clip.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

7. Install the armrest and screws.

Tighten
Tighten the armrest screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

8. Install the inside handle bezel.
