Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 206408 Size: SH
  1. Remove the screw and nut from both sides.
  2. Remove the hood outer seals from both sides.
  3. Remove the windshield washer hose from the seal.
  4. Remove the hood center seal.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 206408 Size: SH
  1. Use the following procedure in order to install the hood center seal to the plenum panel:
    2. • The seal has an interference fit on the cowl pinch weld.
    • Press the windshield washer hose into the seal.
  2. Install the hood outer seals.

    3. Fit the seal over the stud on the cowl.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nut onto the stud.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the hood seal nut to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  4. Install the screw through the seal into the cowl.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the hood seal screw to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
