Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 206464 Size: SH
  1. Remove the component box lid.

    2. Object Number: 744073 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the fuel tank balance module electrical connector (2).

    3. Object Number: 744077 Size: SH
  3. Remove the fuel tank balance module mounting nuts and washers.
  4. Remove the fuel tank balance module.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 744077 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the fuel tank balance module, washers, and nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  2. Connect the fuel tank balance module electrical connector (2).

    3. Object Number: 206464 Size: SH
  3. Install the component box lid.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
