Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

  1. Gain access to the back of the air suspension dump switch.
  2. Connect a test lamp, and back probe between the indicator lamp ground circuit at the air suspension dump switch and a battery positive voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the air suspension dump switch to the ON position.
  2. Connect a test lamp, and back probe between the air suspension relief valve control circuit and the indicator lamp ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Check the air suspension dump switch indicator lamp ground circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Check the air suspension dump valve control circuit for an open between the air suspension dump switch and the splice. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the bulb in the rocker switch or replace the air suspension dump switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
