Removal Procedure

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Block the wheels.
  3. Drain all of the reservoirs. Refer to Draining Reservoirs .

  4. Object Number: 201478  Size: MH
  5. Disconnect the trailer stop lamp switch wiring harness connector.
  6. Remove the bolt and washers.
  7. Remove the trailer stop lamp switch.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the trailer stop lamp switch.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the stop lamp switch to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Connect the trailer stop lamp switch wiring harness connector.
  4. Start the engine.
  5. Charge the system air pressure to the governor cut-out point.
  6. Test for proper brake operation.
  7. Turn OFF the engine.
  8. Remove the wheel blocks.
