Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 348765  Size: SH
  1. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  2. Remove the cowl vent grille.
  3. Loosen the nuts from the transmission drive link brackets.
  4. Remove the transmission brackets from the wiper motor crank arm.

  5. Object Number: 348767  Size: SH
  6. Noting the position of the right and left links for reassembly, remove the transmission cowl bolts.
  7. Remove the transmission from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 348767  Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper transmission onto the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the transmission cowl bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the transmission brackets onto the wiper motor crank arm.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the cowl vent grille.
  8. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
