Schematic Reference: Seat Belt Schematics

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the seat belt alarm.
3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Does the fasten safety belt indicator turn OFF?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 2

Test the fasten safety belt indicator control circuit between the seat belt alarm and the driver information center - right for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

Replace the DIC - right.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 5

Replace the seat belt alarm.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
