Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 206413  Size: SH
  1. Lift the hood latch handle.
  2. Lift open the hood.
  3. Remove the wheel well cover.
  4. Remove the mud flap to panel brace bolts and nut (if necessary).
  5. Remove the mud flap.
  6. Remove the mounting panel to cab bolts and nuts.
  7. Remove the hood latch mounting panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 206413  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Use the bolts and the nuts in order to install the hood latch mounting panel to the following components:
  2. • The door frame
    • The lower door hinge

    Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch mounting panel bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Use the following components in order to install the mud flap to the mounting panel:
  4. • The brace
    • The bolts
    • The nuts

    Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch mounting panel nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the wheel well cover.
  6. Close the hood.
