Removal Procedure
  1. Roll the window up.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 208711 Size: SH
  3. Remove one door handle bolt from the side of the door.

    4. Object Number: 208720 Size: SH
  4. Remove the one door handle bolt (7) by reaching through the access hole in the inner mounting panel.
  5. Pull the handle forward (1), and release the clip retaining the rod (2).
  6. Remove the door handle assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 208720 Size: SH
  1. Install the handle (1) to the door.

    2. Object Number: 208711 Size: SH
  2. Drop the handle lock rod down through the hole in the lock assembly.
  3. Install the clip to the rod.
  4. Install the one door handle bolt by reaching through the inner mounting panel.

    5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install one door handle bolt through the side of the door.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  6. Install the trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
