Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
Important: The power window motor is not serviced. The power window motor is replaced
as a unit with the regulator.
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the door lock linkage. Refer to
Door Lock Replacement
.
- Remove the door module
and glass.
- Bend the tab down on the window run channel in order to slide
the door glass from the regulator roller assembly.
- Remove the window.
- Remove the regulator assembly rivets.
- Remove the regulator and motor (if equipped) as a unit.
Installation Procedure
- Install the regulator
and motor (if equipped) assembly to the module panel.
- Install the window by bending the tab upward on the window run
channel.
- Install the window and module to the door.
- Install the lock rods to the retainer clips.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the module
panel screws.
Tighten
Tighten the inner mounting panel screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install the door lock linkage. Refer to

- Install the water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
