Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  2. Important: The power window motor is not serviced. The power window motor is replaced as a unit with the regulator.

  3. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Remove the door lock linkage. Refer to Door Lock Replacement .

  7. Remove the door module and glass.
  8. Bend the tab down on the window run channel in order to slide the door glass from the regulator roller assembly.
  9. Remove the window.
  10. Remove the regulator assembly rivets.
  11. Remove the regulator and motor (if equipped) as a unit.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the regulator and motor (if equipped) assembly to the module panel.
  2. Install the window by bending the tab upward on the window run channel.
  3. Install the window and module to the door.
  4. Install the lock rods to the retainer clips.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the module panel screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the inner mounting panel screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  8. Install the door lock linkage. Refer to Door Linkage Replacement .
  9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
