Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 794000 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle, if required. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the access hole plug bolts (4) and plug (2).
  3. Remove the release bearing lub hose from the release bearing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 794000 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the release bearing lub hose to the release bearing.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the release bearing lub hose to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  2. Install the access hole plug (2) and bolts (4).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the access hole plug bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Lower the vehicle, if required.
