Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the IP bezel assembly screws.
  2. Remove the IP bezel assembly.
  3. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.

  4. Object Number: 729765  Size: SH
  5. Remove the HVAC control assembly (2).

  6. Object Number: 363022  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the mode control cable from the HVAC module.

  8. Object Number: 728448  Size: SH
  9. Remove the mode control cable from the HVAC control assembly (1).
  10. Remove the mode control cable from the IP carrier.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the mode control cable to the IP carrier.

  2. Object Number: 728448  Size: SH
  3. Install the mode control cable to the HVAC control assembly (1).

  4. Object Number: 363022  Size: SH
  5. Connect the mode control cable to the HVAC module.

  6. Object Number: 729765  Size: SH
  7. Install the HVAC control assembly (2).
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the HVAC control assembly screws.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  12. Install the IP bezel assembly.
  13. Install the IP bezel assembly screws.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
