Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 343835 Size: SH
  1. Remove the lock housing cover assembly. Refer to Steering Column Upper Housing Replacement .
  2. Remove the switch actuator pivot pin (2) from the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1).
  3. If necessary, remove the wire harness straps.
  4. If necessary, disconnect the connector of the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly at the base of the column.
  5. Pull the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly connector through the steering column, if needed.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 343861 Size: SH
  1. Insert the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly connector through the steering column housing assembly, if needed.
  2. Lubricate the switch actuator pivot pin (2) with lithium grease.
  3. Install the switch actuator pivot pin (2) into the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly (1).
  4. If necessary, connect the connector of the windshield wiper and washer switch assembly at the base of the steering column
  5. Install the lock housing cover assembly. Refer to Steering Column Upper Housing Replacement .
